  • Gila oh gila!

I am safe and well-cared at home with the family and anticipating for the coming Eid!

My flight home yesterday (Friday) was at 5pm. Like I said before, my roommate and I took the 6am bus from Ipoh and reached KLIA at around 9am. Since we were fasting, there's nothing much we can do there. I mean, it's not like KLIA is a shopping mall or something. We actually spent about FIVE hours doing nothing. My roommate managed to get a nap, but I couldn't for some reason so I got a book to read. It's a nice read too, the book's called "My Favourite Wife" by Tony Parson.

And so after KLIA we went to the other terminal to board our plane. Then soon as we got there we found out that our flight was delayed from 5pm to 6.45pm.. that's 1 hour and 45 minutes delay! Urgh. The night before I only managed to sleep for ONE hour as we needed to be ready by 4am to catch the 6am bus. I was sooo tired and sleepy but couldn't be bothered to be really sleepy to close my eyes as the terminal was flooded with people in each square inch. And matters got worst when after we've checked in, the plane was announced to arrive late, which made us wait until 7.10pm to board the plane. Matters worst, when we were already sitting in the plane with a slight relief, the plane was said to have some "technical problems" and we were seated until 8pm before the plane finally set off.

So in numbers, I was out there for 18 hours and finally landed in Kuching at 9.30pm. It was like an adventurous dream. I've never experienced such a messy travel but a adventurous one.

In KLIA though, I managed to paint two Eid batik cards. At the Arrivals floor there was this "bazaar" and it was really nothing.. hahah. But we checked it out nonetheless and came across a batik demonstration booth. There, we met Rin and her friend (I forgot her name.. sorry!). Such a happy occasion to find another UTPian.. and Sarawakian. Then we were treated by real authentic sounds of a trio playing some nifty Malay traditional songs. Those guys were really cool and it was such a treat because it really felt like I'm Malay. Even though I am one, I never really have the real Malay experience because I'm Malay of a different kind.. lol. My culture and traditions are slightly different than those Malay traditions as advertised. (I'm being honest here! :D)

Malam tadi jugak, even though I was very very tired my brother and I successfully configured our new wireless router. Now there's broadband internet anywhere in the house.. Hooray doray! In fact, I'm updating right now in my living room. Aku jakun giler cuz this is too canggih for this household for now. Haha. And I've been surfing the net since four hours ago sambil tengok football match. Gila internet, oh semakin gila!

  • Forgetful & Unproductive

Oookay. I googled on how to wake up early this morning. No, I didn't miss my sahur meal again but I woke up latter than I intended to. Hmm.. how do you overcome this huh? The search result that I got mention the word "coffee" a lot, which is a substance my mornings rather depend on. Oh no.. I'm such a coffee junkie. Sometimes when I feel like it, I drink coffee. For instance, when I'm sleepy but need to get things done. Is it a bad habit? It can't be that bad right? Maybe I should start experimenting with tea..

I have to clear up a whole lot of mess before I get my ten days Eid break. To reach that "reward" I have to finish up two assignments by Wednesday, go through one test on Monday and another on Wednesday, go through one "Business Meeting" presentation on Tuesday, prepare an outline of my Persuasive Oral evaluation and.. prepare a speech or two for some event I'm involved in. Hurdles, hurdles, get out of my way!

On Friday, my roommate and I had to take a 6am bus from Ipoh to KLIA because the next one only go off at 1pm. Our flights are at.. err 5pm? Yeah around that time.. I don't even remember! I've to check on that later. I'm such a forgetful person..!

I spent my Saturday watching movies and looking through my textbook without really absorbing anything. My friends invited me to an outing to town but I refused. I refused?! What was I thinking? Well, I promised to meet some people later in the evening and get some things straight around 8.30pm. And I considered a promise over an outing offer?! What was I thinking? I should've just went along and forget about everything else. Yesterday wasn't that productive at all anyway. Shopping raya pun belum ni weh.

But actually I don't really care wether I get new clothes for Eid or not, I just want to celebrate it with my family back home. It's been 3 months...!

  • Bulan Terang, Terus Terang

I have been busy actually. And besides that nowadays I'm a bit emotionally wrecked, but I don't want to confront those feelings here. Ladies and gentleman, aku boring dengan segalanya. I don't know why, but I think I have a boring life. I wake up in the morning, go to class, learn something at a face pace, feel lightheaded in the middle of it, got lost before the lesson ends, get stressed in the weekends for deadlines in the coming week etc etc. One week feels like a few days and it's like somebody's pushing the FWD button in my life. I need to catch a breath, you know.

Today I woke up really tired. And for the first time at 15th Ramadhan I missed my sahur meal. I set up two alarm clocks, but I turned off both unconsciously and only managed to wake up 5 minutes prior to the dawn's prayer call. As soon as I woke up I grabbed the bottle and gulped down water as much as I can. And before I get to turn on the light, the prayer call was heard. Oh mannn, I was really disappointed that I didn't get to eat the butter bread I bought for sahur. But shit happens, isn't it?

Despite today being the most sleepy Monday I've ever had, I went to class nevertheless. But then halfway my eyes was so heavy I couldn't really manage to concentrate fully. It really felt like my mind was somewhere else. You know, when you're really sleepy. Even though I was heavily sleepy, I did not fall asleep during my 8-9am class. Hehe. Shoved in my earphones and listened to some songs on the iPod and that kept me awake for a while til the end of the lecture. Thankfully the lecturer is cool seeing me not really listening to her talk. Even for my PCS class, I think I was mumbling some words when the lecturer asked me something about holding a discussion meeting in a working environment.

I was relieved after a series of lectures ended at 12pm. I dozed off until 2pm before going off again for another class at 3pm. When I woke up after that 2 hour "afternoon nap", it felt like Monday started only then and I could think straight again. I was technically asleep for the first half of the day.. erk! What a terrible Monday morning that I had.

The moon started to appear bright since last night. It's amazing to see it because it's very beautiful even though it's just a glowy round thing in the sky. But I wonder where the stars are?? I don't see them.

    Cheers!
