I am safe and well-cared at home with the family and anticipating for the coming Eid!
My flight home yesterday (Friday) was at 5pm. Like I said before, my roommate and I took the 6am bus from Ipoh and reached KLIA at around 9am. Since we were fasting, there's nothing much we can do there. I mean, it's not like KLIA is a shopping mall or something. We actually spent about FIVE hours doing nothing. My roommate managed to get a nap, but I couldn't for some reason so I got a book to read. It's a nice read too, the book's called "My Favourite Wife" by Tony Parson.
And so after KLIA we went to the other terminal to board our plane. Then soon as we got there we found out that our flight was delayed from 5pm to 6.45pm.. that's 1 hour and 45 minutes delay! Urgh. The night before I only managed to sleep for ONE hour as we needed to be ready by 4am to catch the 6am bus. I was sooo tired and sleepy but couldn't be bothered to be really sleepy to close my eyes as the terminal was flooded with people in each square inch. And matters got worst when after we've checked in, the plane was announced to arrive late, which made us wait until 7.10pm to board the plane. Matters worst, when we were already sitting in the plane with a slight relief, the plane was said to have some "technical problems" and we were seated until 8pm before the plane finally set off.
So in numbers, I was out there for 18 hours and finally landed in Kuching at 9.30pm. It was like an adventurous dream. I've never experienced such a messy travel but a adventurous one.
In KLIA though, I managed to paint two Eid batik cards. At the Arrivals floor there was this "bazaar" and it was really nothing.. hahah. But we checked it out nonetheless and came across a batik demonstration booth. There, we met Rin and her friend (I forgot her name.. sorry!). Such a happy occasion to find another UTPian.. and Sarawakian. Then we were treated by real authentic sounds of a trio playing some nifty Malay traditional songs. Those guys were really cool and it was such a treat because it really felt like I'm
Malay. Even though I am one, I never really have the real Malay experience because I'm Malay of a different kind.. lol. My culture and traditions are slightly different than those Malay traditions as advertised. (I'm being honest here! :D)
Malam tadi jugak, even though I was very very tired my brother and I successfully configured our new wireless router. Now there's broadband internet anywhere in the house.. Hooray doray! In fact, I'm updating right now in my living room. Aku jakun giler cuz this is too
canggih for this household for now. Haha. And I've been surfing the net since four hours ago sambil tengok football match. Gila internet, oh semakin gila!
